Q: How can I make my own fill for a curve that I have drawn?
Specifically I need to make a fill that will represent small dots, like when you take a pencil and tap lightly on paper to make specs/dots.
I also need to make a fill with a dash-dot-dash-dot type of pattern.

If you envision doing this often, there's a professional tool to help make seamless CorelDRAW fills. I show it in my blog here. It's not a free macro, but it's less than 10% of the price of the Adobe Illustrator equivalent.
