I have a strange problem. I have a complex drawing on a vertical B-size sheet. The drawing contains several dimensions created with the auto dimension tool. I have activated editing of all layers. I then change the paper format to horizontal. After that I select all drawing details and rotate it 90 degrees to fit the horizontal layout sheet. As a result it rotates everything except the auto dimension lines (the dimensions themselves rotate but the dimension lines stay put. What could be wrong here?
Depends on how the dimensions were made exactly. The dimensions have to be locked to the shapes. I use a macro for dimensions but they aren't locked to the shapes so yeah, if I rotate them the numbers rotate but not the lines.
If you go thru and actually use the dimension tool click and drag from corner/edge then drag to the next, release then click again. The dimension is now "locked" (forgot the proper term) to the shape.
Yes, Thank you! I checked this and sure mine are not locked to the objects. I can go back and do this of course but what a painstaking process. One would have thought that when selecting ALL it should mean ALL. Obviously a flaw in CorelDraw X7. Wonder if they have fixed this in later versions.
How dimensions respond to "rotate everything" will depend of a couple of things:
Dimensions are a feature where CorelDRAW shows significant limitations when used for CAD-type work.
Yes, I have now experienced these limitations.
