Just ran into a weird one driving me crazy for the last two days. All of a sudden CD starts deleting anything I select. Have found that it cannot be reversed with the edit menu. But it can be with ControlZ. Probably lost 15 hours of work. Anyone got an idea of how this can occur? Not an immediate problem as I can now back out with CtlZ. But what a nuisance.
Are you familiar with using different workspaces in CorelDRAW?
As a test, I would try running with a clean, fresh default workspace.
Also...have you restarted your computer to see if the issue persists?
Booted four or five times. The last time was perhaps the most interesting. What I am doing is updating an old floor plan with new components. So why I have is a large bit map where I am replacing pieces. I have a few dozen installed when boom the bit map vanishes. Immediately go to the Edit menu to undo the delete. Nothing. I then discover if I select any of the added pieces they delete.
Then went to control Z and could back out of all the deletes.
Only remaining thought is that the mouse was sending some weird command...but I do not know of one that would call for deletion. If it comes back again I have a spare mouse to try that theory.
