Why does text compress (squeezing the fonts and spaces) rather than simply wrapping like a word processor? I pick the block of text and the typical 8 black box nodes show up. When I pick the middle black node on the right side (the middle of three stacked vertically) and drag it to the left, the text compresses rather than word wrapping like in a word processor? Similarly when I pick the middle black box node on the bottom and drag it downward, the text is elongated instead of increasing the size of the text box?
I suppose the question is too simple for most people here, but it is frustrating me to have to go into the text and insert carriage returns to get the text to look correct.

The difference between "Artistic Text" and "Paragraph Text" is one of the basics lesson when you start to learn the program.
I have been learning and relearning CorelDraw for several years. I only use CorelDraw maybe 20 times a year for an hour or so. So I'm a perpetual novice. I use CorelDraw because, for the most part, it is easy and logical to use. I am here in this forum today because, once again, I have this stretching text problem and I remembered that I had the problem previously and so I came here to read the answer again. I don't seem to be able to remember this "basic lesson". Thankfully, the answer is here. Geez, in my work flow, I can't imagine ever wanting to stretch/deforming text. Thanks.
