I am having an issue in X7 where when I rotate a layer, and then go to do anything else (like save the file), whatever layer I just rotated will auto rotate AGAIN in the background. So even after I save, I have to undo the rotation, and then resave. This also happens when I rotate something, lets say 90° for instance, then click the text tool, the layer will auto rotate another 90°, and I'm not able to use the text tool until I click the pick tool, undo the rotation, then click the Text tool again. I just want the second auto rotate to stop...it's so frustrating! I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling and that doesn't work.
You mean rotate a shape not a layer never heard of "rotating a layer"
Yes sorry! Rotate a shape I wish I could attach a video, it's so bizarre and didn't used to do that when I used the student version, only the full version. I use Corel every day for work, and with what we do everything is generally oriented at 90° for the machine. So I need to rotate it -90°, center the shape/text/whatever it is that I'm centering (we have to center a lot of things visually due to different fonts) then rotate it back. When I rotate it, and go to change the text, it'll automatically rotate another 90° in the same direction. It's just exhausting...I don't need a double rotation, just once! Am I able to work with what I've got? Yes, it's not unbearable...but I just wondered if there was a setting that I'm missing somewhere.
yeah, a video might help as I'm still confused. Alternately you can use the windows "Snipping Tool" to copy and paste a simple illustration here. Doesn't make sense to keep rotating back and forth.
Might also benefit to make yourself a couple "RotateCW" & "Rotate CCW" macros. That's what I use so I don't have to type it in all the time.
