I have around 5 files, each with up to 70 pages, and each page has a gray line (outline color gray (30% black) in RGB mode. The printer has asked to convert everything to CMYK mode, , (before creating a pdf). I tried doing a find and replace, but this seems to only find objects on the current page, which does not really help me save time. I need it across the entire 70 page document. Is there any command to do this?i did a search on the forum and people mention macros or scripts but i have no idea how to use these, so if this is the solution, can someone help me with that?thanks in advance!p.s. I know it is possible to convert all to cmyk when creating the pdf but the printer requires ( for whatever their reason) that this be done within the document before i publish to pdf.

It worked perfect for the gray outlines. But now I need to convert all my bimaps ( over a hundred), across 70 pages in the document, from RGB to CMYK. Is there any way to do that, other than one by one? ( the color convertor macro does not do bitmaps. There was a Turkish macro out there but it doesn't go across multiple pages). Again, thanks in advance!
Yes, see Mek's image he posted in this thread. :-)
Jeff, i just purchased the macro and downloaded the files. I don't see a gms file, just an application file. It gave me the option to run but Windows put up a warning sign that my computer might be at risk. Do I run it anyway?what happens then?
Hello, the macro installer just places the GMS file embedded in the installer into the correct location for you. Microsoft is nervous about all types of installers, from companies of all sizes.
Thanks, Jeff. I have an important question now. If the printer (offset in China), and the publisher require all images to be at least 300 dpi, and i have some images that are less than that ( let's say from 230 dpi and up), what method of these three would be best to upsample? 1. Let your macro do it automatically 2. Edit the bitmap in PhotoPaint and export to PhotoZoom 3. Within corel just go to bitmap/resample and choose 300 dpi. Or is there a better way? Would appreciate a quick answer for this. I must submit my manuscript this week! thanks in advance,
When a printed requests images be at 300, they often mean they don't want images more than 300 (for color images specifically).
Generally... you don't want to upsample images, since that just subdivides existing pixels, softening images.
The macro can upsample if you want anyway, but I'd use the on-the-fly sharpening option to try and restore some clarity.
The bigger concern: if you have many images 150 DPI or less (after scaling in Draw), your source images aren't that great.
for a test, save 2 CDRS.
process one CDR to force all to 300, and then then other CDR leaving images less than 300 alone.
zoom in and scrutinize the processed images to see what's happening.
