I am trying import a png into Corel Draw and never seem to get a descent vector output, after trying all the different available options (quick trace, high quality image, etc.). Seems all the lines are squiggly, fat and thin, gray and black, etc. The Png files are typically not super high resolution, so the prigram doesn't reproduce very well. The original would be fine, if it kept straight lines, like original, but of course no bitmap jaggies.
Trying to import this, without literally hours of rework
You could always try downloading an SVG drawing:
commons.wikimedia.org/.../File:Boeing_B-17_Flying_Fortress.svg
Nice find Roy!
Although my X7 crashes when ungrouping it. Had to open in illustrator and saved out as a pdf and all is good.
It all worked OK for me in Draw2022. I had a look at the SVG code. It was originally made with Inkscape. CorelDRAW didn't strip out any of the Inkscape specific code when I exported it as a new SVG. I thought copying all the shapes and pasting them into a new file might do that, but it didn't work. It might have been this extra code that was causing you problems in X7.
Yes, I opened it fine in X7, but had to fiddle with it a bit, but still its better than I had :) :). Thanks!
