I'm so frustrated and I've talked to about 10 Coreldraw Techs and not one person can help me!! I have Coreldraw x8 and create my Art designs in CMYK.....then I export them to PNG...& put them on T-Shirts in my Online Web Store.
I export them as a PNG (so I won't have a big white box background around my designs)...but the colors when printed on the T-Shirts become"Dull" and "Washed Out"!! :0((
Other people who have stores where I do...have T-Shirts that look great and they have bright colors. I don't know what I'm doing wrong?? Any help or suggestions would be deeply appreciated!!
Thank you...Kerry
if it's for print, don't use PNG. You should use PDF instead. Or, if you need to send it as a bitmap with transparent background, use TIF CMYK.
Ariel...thank you so much for your helpful information. The designs I'm having issue with are my designs on T-Shirts. I have 2 Online Stores... and have to use a Print On Demand Company to Print my Designs on an array of products. They told me they accept.. JPEG, PNG & PDF. My main Issue is putting my Designs on T-Shirts because they use Sublimation Printing. I design in CMYK and Export to PNG to have a transparent background (I don't want a white square behind my design on the shirts)....like the company requests. When I do that my PNG file colors are very dull and when they put them on my shirts with sublimation they are extremely dull and washed out. They didn't mention that they accept TIF?? Thank you!
Ok as a scanned image it should be RGB if it's CMYK when brought into CorelDRAW, someone converted it. The problem is complex, much easier to see one that worked verses one that failed.
It's clear that color managment is not your strong suit so this makes trouble shooting very time consuming.
It may be that your system is screwed up and when you get something you like it's actually incorrect. It may be one or more of 100 things, even poor printing. I'm sure it's not file format.
Send ma a PM and I'll look at a couple files a good one verses a bad one.
