I am trying to convert some old .cdr files from v.9 to X8 using an X8 trial I just downloaded from Corel's website.
I cannot download the File Converter extension as the Extensions server is unavailable.
I understand that the "extension" is a VBA macro if someone has the macro and is willing to share it, would help me a lot.

You're not supposed to have to convert older files. A more recent version of your Corel should have access to the older files.You only need to downgrade more recent files so an older version of Corel can open them.Personally, I have V9.0 files and can access them with no issues with Corel 2022.
I think I just understood your request wrong...You need to 'batch' convert them... Is that what you meant?
Yes, the old version uses a specific (old) font and all versions, newer than X8 prompt for a font substitution although the font is there.
So I need to batch convert all files to version X8 and then, perhaps, to a newer one.
I know it's very annoying to be prompted with the MISSING FONT dialog box everytime you open a file, but this also happens within the EXACT SAME version. I use presently 2022, and it happens with a font I just used. Save the file, close, and re-open and I get prompted the missing font message, even though it's there.So I don't think your manipulation is necessary.
