The Color Mask tool does not pick the image colors correctly after the first color has been picked:
Anyone sharing the same trouble?
Corel, please fix.
Hi DRAWMEIN,
Believe it or not -- Color Mask is working properly.
You have the threshold set too high for the "reddish" circles. They appear to be reddish because green and blue are close in value. A setting of 20 includes all three circles. You have to use the eyedropper tool to get a true indication of the colors. Yes. It's a surprise to see that much blue in what appears to be red. However, the eyedropper shows colors as in the image below.
Drop the threshold by double clicking on it and entering an appropriate number. Then click on the box showing the color.Phil
Hi, Phil, thanks for replying. The problem is not what you believe it is. I apprehend that the screenshot I provided isn't clear and is confusing. Please watch the animation (click the image to reach the video) to see the true problem. The image in my message is just a thumbnail. The problem cannot be explained in a single image.
Cheers,Axel
Good idea: I still have the X6 version here. I guess I'll revert and keep a running X8 copy on a second machine for the Liquid functionality alone.
I fully agree with you: X8 introduced a number of issues in existing, legacy functionality. X8 is slow, cumbersome and not worth the upgrade (except for the Liquid functionality and that finally, after having fought for this functionality for years, it doesn't fail on graphics tablets).
I am particularly annoyed about the fact that actually no-one at Corel seems to be working on fixing any of the reported issues. After X8.1 (which didn't fix anything remarkable) no update has been published for almost a year! In the time being I could have fixed the issues I reported myself alone if I'd have had a grab on the source code.
It's particularly for the problems I have with Corel, but also with others, like TechSmith and Microsoft, that I was very keen to see that the following European bill is going to be agreed to become law in the near future:
