Program will not install. Says error at install and quits.
IMPORTANT UPDATE:
The initial release of CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X8 would give the error "...another version of this product is installed..." if later versions of the Microsoft VC++ 2015 redistributable was installed, but this issue was addressed in an update.
The workaround noted below was uninstall the newer VC++ 2015 redistributable, but as some versions are no longer available from the Microsoft website this workaround is not viable, or recommended.
If you have Microsoft Visual Studio 2015 installed, or perhaps another variation of the Microsoft 2015 Suite, I recommend that you get in touch with the customer support team to obtain the latest X8 update.
Please refer to the Support page on www.corel.com for contact options for your region.

This one took us a while to figure out. Here is the information we've sent to Customer Service about this issue.
Background:
Users with Microsoft Visual Studio 2015 Update 2 are reporting issues installing CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X8 (CDGS X8). This update was released at the end of March and includes VC++ redistributables that are newer than those that are included in CDGS X8. The version included in Microsoft Visual Studio 2015 Update 2 is 14.0.23918.0 and the CDGS X8 version is 14.0.23506.0. CDGS X8 installer is failing when this redistributable is run and detects the newer version.
We are looking into a permanent solution with Micorsoft, however an interim workaround would be to uninstall the VC++ component(s) blocking the CDGS X8 installation from Windows Control Panel, then reinstall the same component(s) after CDGS X8 is installed. It is important that the uninstalled Microsoft Visual Studio 2015 components be reinstalled and the updated version after CDGS X8 is successfully installed.
Procedure:
The steps to uninstall the components from Windows Control Panel, Programs are as follows:
For 32bit version of CDGS X8:
Important: any Microsoft Visual Studio 2015 Update 2 components (specifically the Visual C++ components noted above) that were uninstalled prior to installing CDGS X8 must be reinstalled to the updated version as noted in step 5 above after CDGS X8 is successfully installed.
To add.... The above workaround applies to installations that are blocked with the 'another version is installed' error. Before performing the workaround, please confirm that the cause is indeed the presence of the newer VC++ redistributable. The issue was also reported in this thread: http://community.coreldraw.com/talk/coreldraw_graphics_suite_x8/f/832/t/52836. The initial issue, where the installer seems to stall / hang on the VC++ redistributable component is unrelated to the above issue. It appears to be the VC++ redistributable component itself requiring updates to be installed, resulting in lengthy install time. To avoid this issue, ensure that all recent OS updates are installed on the system before installing CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X8. Sharon
