I REALLY hate these ads popping up on my PC. How can turn them off?
If turning off all the updates/offers notifications in the Product Details tab of the welcome screen doesn't stop this annoying pop-up (as it didn't for me), here is the solution:
In Windows, click the Start button and select Control Panel
In Control Panel click Administrative Tools
In the right-hand pane double-click Task Scheduler (allow permission if asked)
In the left-hand pane select Task Scheduler Library
In the top middle pane you should see a list of scheduled events. Look for those related to Corel (in mine there are 'CorelUpdateHelperTask' and 'CorelUpdateHelperTaskCore')
Right-click on each and select 'Disable'.
That's it. Those annoying upgrade pop-ups will stop.
Note: I am using CorelDraw version X8 which is no longer eligible for any updates. If your version is still eligible, disabling these may prevent access to desired or necessary updates (or at least notifications that they are available).
Hope this was helpful.
Thanks for this! I made an account specifically to thank you for the instructions. Hopefully it does the trick.
I only installed Coral less than 2 weeks ago and the repeated pop ups have been starting to really irritate me. I wouldn't mind if they only came up when I opened the program, but they're popping up when I'm not even using it.
If anyone working for Coral is listening, it makes me not want to buy anything further from Coral. If you have an offer, please just send an email to your customers! This is not a free program you can spam people continuously with adds and they'll be ok with this. If this was a trial version there's a good chance I would have uninstalled as I hate invasive harrasment by repeated adds and I'm sure I'm not the only one. Removing irritating pop ups shouldn't involve having to disable updates or downloading "registry update fixes". Please respect your customer base and fix this so we don't have to do it for you.
