Hi Guys,When I perform print merge the txt is not centered on the page.Anyone an idea on how to correct this?Thnx, RedSoniya
You should center the text (using the Text tool)
Hi Ariel,In my initial lay-out the txt is centered. When I send it to the driver and print it, however, it's not.
can you attach a file sample?
I understand the problem, what I mean is a file same, a CorelDRAW (CDR) file with the base design (before to perform the print merge)
Remember that you have two hays to Align text, relative to other objects (using the Pick tool) and inside the text (using the text tool). You should select the text using the Text tool, then center the text (Ctrl+E) on both artistic or paragraph text. Then, using the Pick tool, select the text, hold shift and select the logo, and Center both (the C key only)
The image most left is the base file and as you can see the top txt line (<Monthly's>) which is the only line of txt that needs to change, is centered. After performing print merge that line of txt is placed off center.I believe there's no way of adjusting the lay-out when you perform print merge this way.If there is, I would love to know how!The other way is merging to a new document but then every single lay-out is placed on a new page.Yes, this option offers adjusting of the lay-out but it has to be performed on every single page ánd each page has to be send to the printer, laser engraver in my case, separately, which is exactly what I'm trying to avoid.I mean, it's fine when you have to do a few files but when you have to do a couple hundred or thousand even it's just not funny anymore.
For your print merge text, are you choosing Center justification for the text?
The text here is from a print merge, with printing done using imposition layout:
