CorelDRAW X8 - Constant "Freeze-ups" when performing various tasks - any solutions?

I have to re-boot my computer to be able to access CorelDraw X8 again. I don't do complex work, so I'm pretty aggravated.

The other problems I see posted with X8 are very specific, as I stated, I just have consistent "Freezes": Importing, copying, moving between open files, opening another file...

Any suggestions?

If you open Corel FontManager, how many fonts do you have? At the bottom, there is an information label : does it say analysing all the time?

I opened Corel FontManager, and I have 807 fonts, but I don't see "analyzing" anywhere. I took a screen shot, but there's not an option to attach an image.

I appreciate the reply - any more ideas?

That looks normal.

Perhaps it is related to the auto backup?

Note that you can insert picture when using the rich edit mode.

I have the Same issue of freezing but with the freezing corel x8 will not close down even after waiting for quite awhile. Once its closed via task manager the file will be corrupt.

Same issue here. Solved. Press CTRL + ALT + DELETE. Go to task manager. Click on Background process and select Corel Font Service & Corel Task Service and click End Process. Done. No need to quit application.
