switching to other active windows

after sent to print, window switches to other active windows ie: email, browser... instead of going back to coreldraw this is still happening in 2017

  • I had this same problem in Corel 2020 using Windows 10.  The Corel support team solved the problem for me.  It has to do with temp files.  The full step by step is below...

    First delete your temp files. Several issues may occur if a large amount of temporary files is stored in your computer. Temporary files occupy space on your hard drive, it decreases the speed of your system which could result to program crashes. Please go to this page for instructions on cleaning the temporary files on your computer:

    Please follow the below steps.

    On your keyboard, press and hold the "Windows logo" and "r" to launch the "run" dialog box.
    1 On the "Run" tool, Type: " %appdata% "and press Enter.
    2. Open the Corel folder.
    3. Right-click the CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 2020 and choose Rename.
    4. Change the name to CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 2020.old.

    1. Hold down the F8 key on the keyboard.
    2. With the F8 key depressed, launch CorelDRAW
    3. The following message will appear:
    Are you sure you want to overwrite the workspace with the factory defaults?
    4. Click Yes and release the F8 key.
    Note: Some newer keyboards have an “F Lock” key that must be pressed first to activate the Function keys on the keyboard.

    Then try to repair your CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 2020

    • CLOSE all open applications including CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 2020
    • On your keyboard, press and hold the "Windows logo" and "r" to launch the "run" dialog box.
    • On the "Run" tool, type: appwiz.cpl
    • Click "ok", this will launch the Program and Features window.
    • Right-click on CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 2020 and choose to uninstall/repair.
    • In the CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 2020 Install Shield wizard, enable the "repair" option.
    • Click "Next", and follow the instructions that appear.
    • When the process is complete, click "Finish".
    • DO NOT LAUNCH CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 2020
    • Please restart your computer for any changes to take effect.
