I have been using Coreldraw since 1991. Version 3 I think.
I have saved hundreds of files since then.
I recently upgraded to X8 after V12 and find I cannot open the older files.
I looked online and came up with File Converter macro.
My question is, will this convert the older files to usable .cdr or other format that will open in X8.
I have V12 that I use to copy/paste to X8 but need to convert all the files.
It is odd that the system is not backward compatible.
Its ok as long as V12 will keep running on future OS's

You will need to run multiple versions of CD and bring the old files forward on as needed basis
Google CorelDRAW and go to Wikipedia there is a list of compatibility between versions
