I create SVG files. They look great upon creation but after exporting to SVG, they look terribly distorted. The issue seems to mainly occur with fonts only, they are nice and smooth when creating the CDR file but after exporting, I'll pull up the SVG file and they are terribly distorted after exporting, the letters are no longer smooth and instead are rough and look horrible. It happens with almost every single file. Please help!
Just in case any of this makes a difference to pinpoint cause:
Thanks in advance for any help!
Have you tried converting fonts to curves first then make the svg?
Also try upping the Drawing Precision on export i.e. 1 : 100000
I will try this, thank you for such a quick reply!
Also just wanted to add that I am self taught and have only been doing this for about 7 months so I apologize if I use the incorrect lingo
I did try this and it seems to work well for fonts that are already thick, my problem is that I work with mostly with fancy thinner fonts that need to be thickened up to cut properly. I achieve this by adding a hairline outline, converting the word to an object, selecting both the word and outline, and welding them together. The problem is, once I weld it together, the convert to curves option is gone. I have tried to achieve the font thickening through a contour method as well and while both work well for that, upon export I think this may be the reason this is happening. I weld all words and elements by color so the file can't be altered (although ppl find ways anyway by slicing) but the convert to curves option is no longer available after welding.
