I used to use + on the keyboard to Duplicate In Place. This no longer seems to work - Why?
dump temp files or restart cd and try again.
If you look on the Edit menu, Duplicate is "Ctrl+D" when the object you want to duplicated is selected, will make a duplicate in place. Just a new shortcut to learn.
Ctrl+D only dups in place if your default Dup Offset is changed from .25 to 0 under options
Go to : CUSTOMIZE / COMMANDS/ find Duplicate and change the shortcut key from CtrlD to PLUS
I'm using an older version of CD but the + key only works in selection/pick tool mode. Also, you do not need to change the shortcut key. Both Ctrl+D and the + key will work (with dup offset set to zero for Ctrl+D).
Ctrl+D is often refered to as Smart duplicate, because if you duplicate and apply a Transform to that duplicate, pressing Ctrl+D again will both create a duplicate and automatically apply the transform again.
