Hello all,
I have had this problem with previous versions of CorelDraw as well but decided to find a solution for it since it's starting to be a pain in the ass.
The problem is as follows: when I import a pdf into corel (which sometimes was created from a corel file originally) that contains text, the editing of this text is messed up. Seems like a column of several rows gets split into each individual row. If I try to type in one of these rows and press enter for a new line or several it doesn't help, they all melt together in one single row.
If I add new text window from toolbox it works as it should but I have to rewrite everything and it's time consuming when I have to deal with larger texts.
If anyone is familiar with this issue I would be glad if you can help me!

here is the solotion (work-around) for this problem (i had the same concern for a long time, until I recognize this behavior):

Thank you! That will be useful! Do you possibly know if it is possible to combine several text rows into one?
Found a solution, just have to combine first two rows with each other and the combine the following rows one by one. If I take all the rows at once and combine them, the order of the rows get mirrored vertically.

You can combine them all as one, simply select each line individually from "top to bottom".
