Coreldraw x8 home and student Outline scaling

Hi Forum members,

I have a concern which is. When I create for e.g; a square whatever the size. And I make it 2pt in thickness. I then convert outline to object via the menu. Then here is the problem when i resize the shape it does not keep the 2pt thickness? Why not? And what can i do to keep the converted 2pt shape the same thickness no matter what size.

  • Yes, the "fail safe way" would be to convert the outline to curves then the scale would always be correct. I'm really not convinced that the outline had been "converted" as you say. Or your perception of "scaled" isn't what you're desiring. Another way would be to set the outline to scale with shape. Double-click the outline color well and check "Scale with object". I caution using this method though. If you stretch or skew the object after checking that the outline will not be correct.
