can i do this with text columns ? change width and height idependently ?
You can create columns any size you like - looks like you have text inside a rectangle there.
Just press F8 and drag a paragraph text frame and then type inside. you can change the frame size to be what you want.
even if you make columns on one paragraph text frame, you can break apart columns (Ctrl+K) in order to manage each column as a separate object
