What's the story on this refresh issue where the screen fails to redraw. Is there a combination of option switches that works or does a different graphics card help?
Love the crash using the print options too.
Did they finally get you up and running again?
I am assuming you're talking Draw. Wasn't ALT WW used for refresh?
As far as graphics cards go forget anything AMD, stay away from laptops, unless you really spend money, then don't spend that money on AMD or Xeon.
Control W even that isn't working. I'm not sure what does work. Changing pages then using zoom maybe. It seem to refresh eventually. Print / Options is an immediate crash on the cheap A4 Brother laser. It prints OK if you don't need options like what page to print.
Something in the file it seems, I suspect that pages that are at a real world scale might be the cause. Maybe the refresh is tied to the page scaling as well. That would make sense, it the sort of thing that could impact both.
I thought I'd make a smaller version of the file to see if you have an issue with it David. I deleted all bar the last 3 pages and now I can't see anything in the document zero refresh. No choice to to close the document.
Save and reopen it and it works perfectly.
"wow that so good, what is happening with the printer dialogue"
Instant crash.
Don't have any issues opening the printer dialogue with a clean file.
Send me a link I have X8 on an old AMD laptop

I have this gut feeling it is scaling. I have not got to testing that out yet.
Blows up X8 every time I select print. Brother PCL device. 2020 works fine.

It blows up X8 for me, too, without showing the print dialog.
2018 goes promptly to the print dialog; no problem.
In the application my POS AMD system with X8 has zero screen refresh issues. Zero result on print, just print and crash. 2020 A OK.
I wonder if the file was created in 2018 and not X8?
