Replace Color Brush Tool

I'm using PhotoPaint in the X3 Graphics Suite and looking for a way to perhaps perform the same function as the "Replace Color Brush Tool" without having to drag the brush across the image. I could have sworn that there was a way to accomplish this with a simple double-click in previous versions. Is it just me or is this something that someone else remembers? I'm basically trying to replace a background color (and/or range of colors) in a photo, scanned document, etc. in a single step rather than having to drag the tool across the image which often yields imperfect and undesirable results.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

  • I just had the same question using PHOTO-PAINT X8. It turned out that you just have to right click anywhere on the image with the Replace Color Brush Tool, which will bring up a context menu including the entry "Replace All".
