Hi, I don't use Photo Paint nearly as much as Draw, so I'm still becoming familiar with all the features. The two issues I'm having today are:
1. Is there a way to change the color of a brush mask? I'm working with an image that is all shades of red, and the default red mask makes it nearly impossible to see what I'm doing. If there was a way to change the mask color to maybe green it would be a lot easier to see.
2. The property of my mask tool seems to be changing back and forth any I haven't changed any settings. Sometimes I can click with the magic wand on different areas of the image and add to the mask as I please. Then all of a sudden I can't do it without holding the shift key. Clicking a new area removes the previous area mask. Am I inadvertently changing a setting somehow?
Thanks for your help,
Neil
1. Tools > Options > Workspace > Display > Mask Tint (see attached image).
2. Not sure exactly what you mean here, but holding down the Shift key and clicking will add to any existing masked area (holding down Ctrl will subtract from any existing mask and holding down both Ctrl AND Shift will put the mask feature into Overlap mode). These features are duplicated by buttons on the Mask toolbar.
Thank you Roy! That's exactly what I wanted to do.
My second question was because earlier today I was able to mask different areas with the wand just by clicking on them and I didn't need to hold the shift key. Then it changed so that now I need to hold shift to do this...and I don't think I changed any settings.
If you use the buttons on the mask toolbar they'll hold their state once clicked. If you just use the Shift/Ctrl keys the add/subtract features will only last so long as the keys are held down.
