I am with dog rescue and I just purchased some latte mugs to put designs on for Christmas. Because of the shape of the mugs a simple square design, which is what I'm working with, won't work. The design I have is a bitmap and I need to change the shape so it fits in the template of the latte mug. I can't seem to get the shape tool to help me with this. I need to get this figured out so we can sell these for Christmas and I'm running out of time. I have tried to figure it out myself but to no avail. (Corel can't help me due to the version I am using and I can't afford to upgrade but could download the trial version if that would help) I just don't know if I can reshape a jpeg or bmp in either version or how to make this work. Hellllppppp
Hi,
If it's a bitmap you'll need to do that in Photopaint (also included with CorelDraw Graphics Suite 11).
You may get some useful hints from this tutorial.
I found some CorelDRAW templates for latte mugs here which may help with the shape. It would definitely help if we knew what the mug looked like!

I was thinking that you would need to use Photo-Paint (Effects>Shear, perhaps?), but you don't want to distort the photo, you just need to get it to fit the template. What we need is an Envelope tool for bitmaps!
Here is what I am working with. I hope someone can help. I will pay a small amount to someone who can figure it out and explain it to me. ('m not trying to bribe anyone but I know how busy everyone is) Okay, I can't get the file to upload here but here is a link to the regular coffee mug I make with this design. http://shop.nbran.org/product.sc?productId=99&categoryId=9 Here is what the latte mug looks like plain: http://www.dyetrans.com/detail.php?item_no=RH-LMUG14K I've also uploaded the template but it wouldn't let me upload one with the design. Thanks everyone for your support and help. I might just have to print it in collage style ad see what that looks like.
I found these instructions on another site. It definitely looks more involved for a photo than a vector design: http://www.vision1usa.com/images/products/pdfs/13.pdf
I think if you could do a collage of images, that might be easier than trying to curve the photo image. The template you attached looks a little rough. If you are already a member, download the one from dytrans.com, so you can make it more precise. There is a link to get the template below the image of the mug: http://www.dyetrans.com/detail.php?item_no=RH-LMUG14K
Thanks Patti. I might just have to go for a collage. The template I loaded on here was from the same site as your link above it's just a little bit different mug that I have. I have the LMUG14 (http://www.dyetrans.com/detail.php?item_no=LMUG14) which is the template that I uploaded. I'll look at your instructions later this evening after work. Thanks for your reply!
