I hope that someone can help out. I am in coreldraw X3 and all of a sudden today when I select a bitmap the 'edit bitmap' and 'crop bitmap' functions are not available. I don't remember hitting any extra buttons or anything. I use bitmaps in my designs allot and edit them in photopaint thru coreldraw so not having these functions is a pain.
First option. Restart your system.
Second option. To change your custom workspace to default.
Third option. Hold F8 while starting CorelDRAW and restore factory settings.
Thanks for the try.
I rebooted my system, it didnt work
I had no other workspace
I started corel with F8 and restored factory workspace. I still have the same problem.
thanks for the try

I've found that sometimes if you cut and paste a raster image from certain places it woun't let you use the options like edit bitmap or trace, the only way i can work out to get round that its to use convert to bitmap option, once you've converted it to what you want the options should all be available again.
I found my problem in PhotoPaint. I had the CPT box unchecked in tools/options/global/filters/associate I probably did that while I thought I was making my system better, I should leave well enough alone.
Thanks
Richard S, I had the same problem with the grayed out edit button. I checked all of the options in tools/options/global/filters/associate and it started working again.
