Hi Friends,
is it possible for someone to explain how to make a macro for converting text to curves in an entire document? Of is there a free one I can download?
Awaiting your replies.
Thanks.

Hi.
Glad I could be of help.
This Free macro may be of interest to you since you'll be passing cdr files around. It creates a list of fonts used in the document on a last page.

When saving the file tick the box on the Save dialogue screen box that says "Embed Fonts using TrueDoc".
I used this once with a Sign Shop that didn't have the fonts I had used and I wanted to test whether it would work... it did!
He was able to open the file without the font substitution box popping up and it was the fonts on screen that I had used.Of course you would stipulate no changes be made and cc email the same file to yourself for verification later if needed.
the 'dd'
I was always uneasy of using the embed font feature. I'll try it with a smaller file and see if it works.
Thanks for the font macro John. Really cool!
the above macro works fine.
but it would be better if u could convert power clipped text also to curves.
thank u

The question is WHY do you need to convert 104 pages to curves. This is not an advisable action, since it will create a lot of nodes and a lot of complex objects. Also, it will increase the size of the document and can cause slow performance and printing problems.
If you need to send the file to other computer, just Publish as PDF, select PDF X/3 go to "Config" then choose "Compatibility with Acrobat 8". That's all. And don't convert to curves when publish as PDF if it's not necessary, the PDF include all used fonts
