Hello,
I have used Corel X3 on a XP & Vista machine with the Drawstitch Embrodiery Effect plug-in. However, when I install it on Windows 7, the Embroidery Effect is not showing up in Corel, even thought both programs seemed to install successfully. Does anyone know if this is a Windows 7 problem, or am I missing something?
Thanks,
Geoff
Hi Geoff,
a newer version of that free software replaced it and works as a standalone product only; it works fine in W7. I looked at an old thread regarding this and the link no longer works. I opened the software on my computer and it has a link, but that too took me to a redundant site. Do a search in here and type in Embroidery plugin, or Embroidery effect and see what you can find. I only looked at the one thread, so there may be others with a newer link.
Let us know how you go.
Best regards,Brian.
Hey Brian,
Thanks for you response. I checked with Drawstitch and a guy told me the "workspace" had been changed in Windows (or Corel). I'm not even sure what that means, but all I had to do was press F8 when opening Corel and it was fixed. Embroidery Effect was there. It was the quickest, simplest computer fix I've ever experienced!
Workspace is actually a screen environment where you can create or customize the look and feel of the toolbars and menus to suit your needs.
By pressing F8 when opening corel, you are actually putting the system (Back) into a default workspace set by corel.
