Im new here and went looking for this site out of desperation and frustration. I bought a new computer about a year and a half ago and I am currently using windows 8...
Ive been having problems with images becoming corrupted for some time now. I don't remember exactly when it started but I am thinking possibly around the time that I got the new computer. I will import an image and it will be fine, then later, after I have saved it and closed the file, I bring it up again and suddenly its corrupted. Meaning it may show half the image within the box I have created and part of it is covered up by....sometimes its a black block, sometimes its' little white lines, sometimes its part of another image stuck inside there. Its very strange, and super frustrating.
If anyone can help I would really appreciate it.

I have not tried X3 on Windows 8, however, being Windows 8 came out many years after X3, it is quite possible there are some incompatibility issues.
There may be someone here with a similar setup as your that can verify it does in fact work ok.

Can you elaborate on what you are doing. I may be a little confused.
X3 would stand the best chance of working in windows 8 if you run it in XP compatibility mode.
To do that in windows 7, you would find the coreldraw and photopaint .exe files in windows explorer, right click on them and go to properties > compatibility. Enable the Run this program in compatibility mode for ... and choose windows XP.
I don't have windows 8 but it probably has a similar option.
Better still would be to launch it in "windows XP mode" which is not available for windows 8 but see http://www.howtogeek.com/171395/how-to-get-windows-xp-mode-on-windows-8/ for a possible alternative.

Well I do sublimation and make porcelain cabochons/jewelry supplies...so I take an image and power clip it inside an oval template. I also make mosaic tiles, so I work the same way for creating the tiles....powerclipping an image into a box or circle.
Sometimes I work with as many as 100 separate images on a page, tho I try not to do that often because ive had issues with corel crashing too (that's a whole separate problem, but I think it's often due to me trying to work with too many images at once)

ok, I will have my fiancé look at this with me. He is not corel savvy but he's a lot my techie knowledgable than myself.
