Hi All, i am a total novice to CorelDraw and bought x3 of ebay as it was cheap and thought i would give it ago. i am wanting to create a background (as per below) for a banner which is 8' x 2'. is this something that is easy to create or something more an expert would need to do. are there any easy steps to follow
Kind Regards
Phil
Very Easy. Can be done with both Draw and Photo-Paint
Create one rectangle with a gradient fill then duplicate and skew while placing next to each other to create the star, Change gradient color positions to make variations between the beams.
For the little stars you can use one of the shape tools and make the object and then apply a radial fill to them
thanks for the reply, but it has gone totally over my head, is there a tutorial i can see somewhere
CorelDRAW is a software that allows, for certain tasks, to achieve the same results by different routes. The techniques are many and their uses depend on the creativity and ability of each artist. So if you are a beginner, I suggest that you carefully read the Help (F1) of the program itself, watch the most diverse video tutorials posted on the Internet and.. practice a lot! Sometimes certains works that you see are the result of a combination of features of CorelDRAW and CorelPHOTO-PAINT. Visit sites related to the Suite, watch and read as much as possible about the programs and, of course, you will soon discover a custom mode to achieve your goals. Surprise us!
That can be easily done using the transparency tool.
Draw your shapes with the right color and outline and use the transparency tool... you can experiment with the Radial Transparency type.
Attached is a quick demonstration. Sorry can't do the entire thing.. a bit short on time.
