"Error occurred: Another CorelDRAW feature, script, or external application is currently accessing this document."

I've recently started getting an error message when running a vba macro: "Error occurred: Another CorelDRAW feature, script, or external application is currently accessing this document. Only one client can access this document at once." To make it worse, it's an intermittent error. Has anyone else here seen this error message before?
