Strange behaviour of layers only in German version?

Hello, in a document with multiple pages I want to work with layers. When I create a layer on one page (no main layer) this new layer appears on all the other pages (and with the same name). But I want to use this layer only within the current page like in other programs, e.g. InDesign. It's a very strange behaviour for me -- or only in the German version? What's the benefit of this uncommon behaviour? Thanks. Carlos

    I couldn't explain if there is a benefit to it. It has been that way since the master pages inception. I also would like to see the possibility of applying different master pages along the same document.
