I bought some vector graphics that have been saved as Illustrator (ai and eps files) and my CorelDraw version 9 will not open them. CRAP !! I really don't want to purchase X7 for $400 and don't use CorelDraw enough to justify that investment. Is there some way I can get these Illustrator files open and back to CDR9 so I can edit them ?
I want to be able to select the parts and pieces in these vector files so I can change the fills, shapes, etc..
Any ideas ?
Thanks !
Paul
Try here >> http://image.online-convert.com/convert-to-eps
I haven't tried it, I googled Ai to EPS converter
Thanks Chris. Right, I am familiar and have used www.Zamzar.com to convert all kinds of files to other files....BUT I am trying to open and eps or ai file and convert to CorelDraw 9 (which I own) so I can still "edit" the shapes in the file. I can already open the eps and ai file in Photoshop to throw the vector image on something... I am trying to be able to still "edit" the shapes and vectors in Corel 9.
Long time since I have used Ver9, do you have the dialogue to import as editable if so use that.
Sounds good, but unfortunately no...I have never seen that option anywhere in Corel at least my version.
...mmmmmmmmmm
Last shot for me.
Try renaming to a .PS extension and try that.
If that does not work you will have to wait till someone who knows Ver9 chimes in.
Good Luck
