I know how to print colour targets and load profiles in Photoshop. I also found out how to do it with CorelDraw 14. Now I am using CorelDraw 18 and I am confused by the new interface. Please can someone explain how I can set up CorelDraw to print my colour patch target using CorelDraw and then once it has been scanned to generate a paper profile how can I load that profile in CorelDraw? What settings do I need to adjust in the CD interface? I notice there is a general colour management interface and also a document colour management interface. Do I need to adjust the settings in one or both of them? Your help would be much appreciated.
Kind regards
Chris
Can I assume for a cmyk device?
If so after you created your profile select the drop down and select load a profile.
Sorry that was for default color management dialogs. The document color management dialog is only for the open document.
Thanks David. The profile target image* used to make the profiles is 24 bit RGB. What settings do I need to use to print the profile target in CorelDraw 18? It will be printed on an Epson desktop printer.
*This target image will be printed using an Epson Printer and then scanned into the profile generating software.
Ok so this is an image that you import into CorelDRAW 2017 is a sample RGB image so you can create a test print to read with s spectrophotometer to create a profile for a print device correct?
Yes that is correct. It is a test RGB image with many color patches that is imported into CorelDraw 18. After its printed on the Epson Inkjet printer the sample paper it will be scanned to generate a paper specific profile for that printer.
