I need some advice on preparing a file for litho printing

Currently all vector work are in shades of black - 100%K , 30% K etc....and all Bitmaps are Grayscale.

My client wants everything to be printed in his pantone blue.  How do I get the photo's in tones of the same pantone? Is there any way to fill an object with 10% of a pantone colour - as you can do with CMYK colours?

How do you do that in CDR 13

  • If printing on a press you could make a greyscale film/plate, then use actual Pantone ink.

for a proofing simulation, you can temporarily convert job to a bitmap and make a "duotone", but just then choose one color. This can reveal areas that don't translate well to one single color later, and you can go back to change your design if needed

Here is  a random example off the net:

  • If everything is already black and white and grayscale assuming that you're printing one color just send the file out and tell them what PMS color to print.
