EditPad8 syntax coloring scheme for Ventura Publisher, etc.

Hello,

I am a longtime VP user. My first VP version was Xerox VP 3 for Windows. Back then I used to work with XyWrite importing and exporting files. I am still using DOS XyWrite in virtual environments and I have been involved in developing solutions for running XyWrite in this way (see: https://www.lexitec.fi/xywrite/utility.html). Some years ago, I made a syntax coloring scheme for Editpad text editor for use with XyWrite formatted text files. Now I have made a similar syntax coloring scheme for VP10 ANSI files (export on save option) as this is the best way to edit directly the text content of VP publications. This syntax coloring works like those used with programming languages. It can be used in the paid EditPadPro8 (https://www.editpadpro.com/) or the free EditPadLite8 (https://www.editpadlite.com/). Download from:
www.editpadpro.com/.../cscslist5.pl
or from inside EditPad for easier installation.

The embedded codes of the last version of VP10 are not very well documented, so I have also made a cheatsheet of the codes used (https://www.lexitec.fi/xywrite/VP10_cheatsheet.pdf) and a PDF table of the VP ANSI character set (www.lexitec.fi/.../VP10_ANSI_character_set.pdf).

I hope you will find these useful when working with VP10.

Best,

lex
