I cannot make an isometric drawing in Corelcad.

I ran Autocad for almost two decades and now I have Corelcad. I cannot make an isometric drawing in Corelcad. I can do one plane but cannot switch to other planes in order to continue. I tried the extrusion method but then the object is a solid so when I select it and go to properties to find out the total distance of the objects it shows me nothing. So, how do I make a simple  isometric drawing in Corelcad?

  • Try using F5 to switch between planes.
  • You don't make an isometric drawing, unless you're drawing on one plane. Better to make a 3D model of whatever you want and let CorelCAD produce an isometric drawing of it.

Here's something quick to try - On the X/Y plane, use the polyline function to create a shape - When you're finished and are on the last point, press C for close and it will automatically close the shape for you.

Then click on this shape and extrude it in the Z axis to make it solid. You can only extrude closed 2D shapes.
