I currently use IsoDraw for importing 3D models for use in IPC manuals how does this compare with Lattice 3D?
You can try out Lattice3D Studio CAD Corel Edition (the advanced level Add-on) with CorelDRAW Technical Suite X7.
Download and install CorelDRAW Technical Suite X7 Trial which includes Lattice3D Studio CAD as 30-day trial. With that you get the full functionality including all 3D CAD file format import, 3D animation and 3D PDF output capabilities to test with your 3D CAD files.
For working with (complex) 3D assemblies we recommend using the 64-bit applications (requires a 64-bit Windows) to get best possible performance.
If you're working with basic 3D file formats such as DWG, 3DS only, the basic Lattice3D Studio Corel Edition as included with any CorelDRAW Technical Suite X7 license will be sufficient. A feature comparison of the two levels (Lattice3D Studio as integrated with CorelDRAW Technical Suite vs. Lattice3D Studio CAD as separate Add-on license) is available here.
As a starting point you may want to have a look at the tutorial videos in the CorelDRAW Technical Suite Youtube channel that cover the typical workflows (3D import, creating views, disassembly (animation), illustration output, etc.).
Please note that there is updates available to all applications of CorelDRAW Technical Suite X7 (incl. Lattice3D Studio and the advanced level Lattice3D Studio CAD) which cannot be applied to the trial version. If you need to try out some specific 3D CAD file formats (i.e. SolidWorks 2015, NX 10), please send a private message to me.

It's been a while, but now have Corel Technical Suite 2019 and it is fantastic.
