1. Create a separate object for your custom drop cap figure and group all of its parts.
2. Click in the paragraph text frame and delete the first character that will be replaced by the custom drop cap.
3. Drag your custom drop cap into the paragraph text frame, and then click the Warp text button on the property bar and perform the following actions:
- in the Square area of the list box, choose Text Flows Right
- adjust the Text wrap offset setting

Note: You may need to adjust the position of your custom drop cap in the paragraph text frame.
