When publishing photos and images to my website or blog, I always run the images through the Unsharp Mask effect. Most often using the Lens Object Unsharp Mask. Or via the Effects menu in the Menu bar. (Effects > Sharpen > Unsharp Mask).

  1. Open photo in Corel PHOTO-PAINT X7
  2. Go to Image > Resample
  3. Set Pixels width and click OK
  4. Go to: Object Manager Docker > Lens Objects > Unsharp Mask.
  5. Using the Unsharp Mask via the Effects menu will give you a small preview window while using the Unsharp Lens provides you with a live preview. The Lens Object version is non-destructive image editing, in case you would like to save your image as an editable image for safe keeping.
  6. Click OK and go to File > Export for > Web.
  7. In the dialog choose Format > JPEG, PNG or GIF
  8. Personally I usually also select “Maintain Size”, next to the “Save as” button. Click Save as.
  9. The image is saved to your folder. Finished.
