I am not sure were feature requests should be placed, but I am going with here.
It would be nice to have the Smart Fill work on bitmaps like Inkscape does. All in all it is a small thing I suppose, but I am throwing it out there.
Hello David; It doesn't heart to ask, but I can't figure how they could do that in Draw, but maybe someone at Corel may come up with something for X8.
George
Feature and requests are HERE
PhotoPaint "Fill Tool" have tolerances set to 20+/- or so will do this as will the "Replace Color" command in PP
Eggzample....
Hello Mike; I don't mess with rasters much, but I new I could get Corel to fix something that needs to be added!!! lol And all for a guy In Grundy, Va. I didn't even know they had electrify up there much less computers. HaHaHa.
Good Catch, George
Ah, I seldom open PP, but that is good to know. However, the idea was to create a new vector object. It's like a quick partial trace bitmap. Inkscape is a Vector editor. It seems that Draw could do this as it has a trace bitmap engine in place.
It is a small thing. One can always just trace the whole bitmap and take it from there. Just a thought.
AND, where do you think the coal for your electricity comes from for you city folk G E O R G E?
I think this feature was there way back in the first versions of Draw, say 20 years ago.It was kind of a quick trace tool which created a vector object from an area with a specific color when you clicked on it, pretty much the same as you describe.Maybe time to add it back? Shouldn't be that hard to do I guess.
