What invisible lines? If they are invisible why worry about them? Why would you need to mess with the nodes? Is that a Gaussian Blur effect on the bitmap?

Yes and No. Sometimes the border does show up even when there is no background. But you can duplicate your vector , change one to a bitmap and then powerclip the bitmap into the vectored duplicate. I do this pretty often to eliminate the border that ALWAYS shows up when I convert it to a PDF to send to an art house for printing.
