Anyone not have a light box for viewing slides?

Yes. I still receive slides with product shots once in a while I need to scan so I need to view for the best one. It's pretty infrequent these days, though.

Hello David; I use my light table to View slides for me, Like Mike said They are few and far between know. But you can make one from a shoe box and a small light bulb. I have put a substrate on the Wall and projected on to it. and paint away......

I used to have about 30 feet of lightboxes when I had my audio-visual production company back in the '80s. I actually got rid of my last one (quite small about 2'x1'6") about 2 years ago. If I do get any slides they just go straight on the scanner and into my PC for viewing.

Light boxes! I thought everyone had one along with pantone books and color charts so they could look pro!

Designer without a light box??? Why not, everything else has gone to heck. I still have 2 light boxes used every 6 months or so along with color viewing boxes. I long for the days when we scanned slides and generated matchprint or color key, no one ever discussed color the proof did all the talking. Fortunately the printers we work with share their profiles so a color issue hasn't come up for 4 o 5 years.
