Then, David, you'll not be purchasing the upgrade. I don't expect a bug-free product. I do want a stable product upon release, some of the previous bugs fixed, and hopefully few new bugs introduced--and if they are limited to new features that's a bonus...

I want legacy bugs fixed. The ones that have been reported and acknowledged by Corel.
Some are are flat out embarrassing like the broken color picker on meshes and the broken color picker on fountains fills that almost always default to CYMK, even if you are working in RGB and your default palette is RGB.

As a software developer myself, one of the fist things we do after a release is to fix any bugs found in the previous release. This serves to:
A) Keep our customers happy
B) Prevents us from adding good code on top of bad
C) Act as learning experience as to what NOT to do next time

I have skipped several recent versions due to bugs and have only upgraded when absolutely necessary, usually due to O.S. compatibility issues.

It's sad because I used to love Corel Draw as it felt like an old friend. Now it just feels like broken software.

Hip hip hooray. I would even settle for the old way -- stable two weeks after release.

However, I doubt that I will buy it. II don't think that they will add any new tools to Photopaint. Why spend any more money if Photopaint does not have Content Aware fill and does not match Photoshop's Selection tools.

It's too bad. I thought that Photopaint 9 had inched ahead of Photoshop 7.
