Selection Groups

The Selection Group feature is something that a lot of users have never heard about. It makes working on complex files with multiple objects easier.

For example: If I have an object stacked somewhere between 100 other objects and need to edit it I can use selection groups.

How it works:

  • Simply by selecting the object, press CTRL and 1 (The one above the alphabet keypad), you can repeat this process until you have 9 different selections.
  • To get back to the object all you need to do is press the corresponding #, for example 1-9.
  • You can also add objects to a group by pressing ALT + the number of the Selection Group.
  • To Zoom into all of the objects in a Selection Group, you just need to press the # key twice.

Give it a try!
