The galleries that showcase all the finalists for the 2009 CorelDRAW International Design Contest went live since 22/6/2009. So members of CorelDRAW.com can vote to decide the 10 winners for each category. Time is running out; voting will end on July 6 2009, 9 AM Eastern Time Zone.
For me, beside meeting good friends and works, one of the best results of the contest is this poster:
A poster I made in CorelDRAW X4 to promote my entry in the CorelDRAW Design Contest 2009. The poster is based on the most imitated Alfred Leete's recruitment poster for Kitchener's Army, where Lord Kitchener calls upon British citizens to enlist for the First World War.
In mine, I'm calling upon you to vote for my entry: "You better be good at being good", I appreciate your comments and ratings :)
The original Kitchener "Your Country Needs You" poster.
My entry "You better be good at being good"
My poster "My entry needs your vote" (made in CorelDRAW X4)
I'm losing my sight watching the entries and the progress, and trying to promote my entry :'(
To promote their work, tips for solo road trips and gather votes, contestants can leverage social media platforms, engage with the design community online, utilize personal networks, create online portfolios, and even explore offline promotion methods like distributing flyers or business cards. While the pressure to win can be stressful, the contest also offers an opportunity to showcase talent, gain exposure, and connect with fellow creatives.
