Did you know that CorelCAD for Windows supports 3D input devices?

With the "November 2011 Update" CorelCAD now supports 3Dconnexion devices.

When you connect your 3D mouse and then start CorelCAD, you may need to add the “3D Mouse” menu to the UI if it’s not displayed automatically.

Use the Tools > “Customize Interface…” dialog for that.
Navigate to the "UI Profiles" tab (on the left), then expand "UI Profiles" > "Menu Bar".
Expand the "Menu Explorer" by clicking on the icon right to the Menu Bar element list:

Then drag the "3D Mouse" menu entry into the list to add that to the active menu bar.

Click "Apply" to put that UI changes into effect.

In the "3D Mouse" menu you will find options for the 3Dconnexion device.

Note: The "3D Mouse" menu will only be visible when a 3D mouse is connected to your computer. The 3D device needs to be connected at application start as the application only detects it at that time.

Default settings are to use Zoom and Pan only with the 3D mouse. To enable real 3D navigation including rotation you need to activate “Rotate” in addition to the Pan/Zoom option.

In the "Options..." dialog you can specify further settings, and you can assign custom CorelCAD commands to the buttons of your 3D mouse in the "Button Mapping..." dialog.

Please note that 3Dconnexion device support currently is limited to CorelCAD on Windows.
