  • Hi! The Guidelines are a Layer. You can place any shape inthe Guides Layer it will become a part of this layer, it's not printable and doesn't appears when export. The "standard" Guidelines are always straight, you can move or rotate it, but if you need a curved guide or a custom shape, it's not possible using standard guidelines. Of course, it still is a shape, and if you move to another layer will return as the original shape. Instead to use "snap to guidelines" you should to use "snap to objects" (Alt+z). It's very useful for thechnical drawings and when you need to reproduce a shape.

Thank you for read and comment this post.

  • How do we use the custom guideline?

When I drag a shape onto the Guides layer, it just appears as a shape.
