The CorelDRAW team prioritizes user feedback, as a vital part of its ongoing development and improvement of the graphics suite product. Update 1 primarily focuses on user-driven performance and stability enhancements to the product in areas such as Font list box, dark or black theme customization, mesh fill colors, CorelDRAW file performance on double clicks, Corel Capture and gradient midpoint settings in PDF files.
In addition to the following improvements, this update also includes Hotfix 1 which addressed issues that caused the applications to stop responding, run slowly, or open certain CorelDRAW documents with a single blank page.
Here more details about the X8.1 Update from the release notes:

@Bob Hagel - I will message you directly and I will follow up with the ticket.
Update 1 occurred while I was using CorelDRAW which was working fine. After the update I am unable to create a new file or open any Corel files. Error message while opening a file...nothing happens after trying to start a new file. So DRAW X8 is unusable. DRAW X7 works fine and PAINT X8 works fine. No response to ticket submitted two days ago. Any ideas would be appreciated as I cannot access any of my client files. (Windows 10 PC)
@SteveGl- Thankyou, for the feedback. I will reach out to you directly via direct message for the next steps.
Sooooo happy about the new X8.1 update!! It fixes the font display delays and gradient transparency slow redraw issues! Thank you!
Extremely Unstable !! Photo-paint wont even open just crashes. Text in draw is unstable Too much artistic text and it slows to a crawl ( a file I've had for awhile never reacted this way) And now can't seem to find away to uninstall the update? I didn't see no Hotfix?
