One of the wow features of the Corel DESIGNER® Technical Suite X4 pre-release technology preview, we are showcasing at the STC Summit in Philadelphia this week, is the integration of Right Hemisphere® Deep Exploration™.

The addition of this cutting-edge 3D communication and collaboration software will give Corel DESIGNER users the ability to quickly and easily transform 3D designs and CAD models into accurate 2D illustrations without having to purchase additional CAD software.

Right Hemisphere Deep Exploration will be integrated in Corel DESIGNER Technical Suite X4 as "Deep Exploration CSE". This version supports 3D access to popular CAD formats including AutoCAD 3D DWG and DXF, 3DS, VRML, U3D, SketchUp files and others.
Direct integration enables users to send specified 3D views with cross sections and modified or hidden components to Corel DESIGNER or to send ray-traced renderings to Corel PHOTO-PAINT for further retouching.

Integrating 3D designs as a source for assembly instructions, maintenance manuals and all kinds of technical documentation for manufacturing, automotive and aerospace as well as AEC streamlines the creation of these deliverables significantly while the direct integration into the technical illustration application suite helps reducing costs and time - to deliver against shrinking budgets and time to market.
A merge feature in Deep Exploration lets technical illustrators incorporate last minute changes to the production design in their technical documentation with a great portion of automation.

The pre-release technology preview of Corel DESIGNER Technical Suite X4 includes Deep Exploration CAD Edition which is a higher level of the Deep Exploration software that is supposed to be available as separate upgrade license ("Deep Exploration CCE") to Corel DESIGNER Technical Suite X4 customers once the software has been released.

Deep Exploration CCE allows for direct 3D PDF output from all supported 3D CAD source files.
Further more Deep Exploration CCE adds support for native 3D file formats from major CAD systems such as CATIA®, Inventor®, Pro/ENGINEER®, SolidWorks®, and Unigraphics® NX, and 3D exchange formats such as IGES, STEP, SAT (to name a few). For a full list of the over 80 file formats supported by Deep Exploration CCE please check out this document from Right Hemisphere (Deep Exploration CAD Edition - supported file formats).
